The Total Rewards Supervisor is
responsible for the coordination and supervision of the delivery of the
District employee benefits and compensation and provides support to all aspects
of the Human Resources Department. This position is accountable for the financial
auditing and reporting for the Total Reward accounts.
Job Summary:
*Directs the daily operations of the District employee benefits and compensation offices to ensure that all areas of responsibility operate with accuracy and efficiency. *Coordinates and executes programs and functions of the Payroll and Insurance Services offices, including audits, open enrollment, contract implementation, and staff development ensuring compliance with Federal and State law. * Provides administrative support to the Employee Support Program to include workers’ compensation, disability, leave of absences, Total Rewards staff, and to the Human Resource Leadership team. * Conducts monthly finance reporting, oversees all electronic bank transfers, and conducts account reconciliations. * Conducts employee orientations and provides education and council to employees pertaining to employee benefits. *Reviews and responds to legal inquiries including but not limited to Insurance claim/membership appeals, subrogation claims, court orders, data requests from Federal and State agencies. *Performs other duties within the level of responsibility of position as assigned by the manager and supervisor.
Qualifications:
*Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Administration, Finance, Business,
or related field preferred, or the equivalent of 5 years or more experience in
a related position involving supervisory duties. *Must possess strong communication skills, time management and
organization to handle a variety of procedures with frequent interruptions. Must be able
to make and communicate data based decisions. *Knowledge of Human Resources principles, practices, relevant laws,
rules, regulations, compliance reporting, recordkeeping and best practices;
ability to communicate and interpret the above to staff. *Employee Benefit and/or Insurance Plan Knowledge and Understanding
required. *Payroll Experience and Supervisory experience required. *Knowledge of school district organizations, functions, and operations;
understanding of educational goals, employee contract provisions, and district
philosophy as it impacts the support functions and responsibilities of the
Total Rewards Coordinator. *Confidentiality required on all transactions, familiarity with HIPAA
compliance, ability to make discretionary decisions.
