PURPOSE:
Provides school bus and individual student support for safely
and fairly transporting Special Education student(s) to and
from school and for other school and Special Education related
programs and services; assists with loading and unloading, bus
preparation, scheduling, communication with staff and parents,
students' personal needs and logistics.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
(Other duties may be assigned)

Supervises and
monitors students one on one or in small groups as required by
staff members and/or administrators associated with transporting
Special Education students by following expectations outlined
included but not limited to the following:

Takes
responsibility for students and their behavior so the bus driver
can concentrate on driving in varied weather, road and traffic
conditions;

Keeps noise
levels down;
·
Responds to
emergency medical trauma:
seizures, choking, breathing obstructions, blood sugar
deviations, etc;
·
Walks and/or
transports students to and/or from bus in all kinds of
weather;
This is a 3 hour per day, five days
a week position.
