The primary responsibility of the school counselor is multi-faceted and varied depending on the specific assignment. The school counselor duties will include completing changes to student schedule as needed. The school counselor develops and implements a comprehensive counseling program to meet the needs of all students. Counseling in North Clackamas is designed to assist students in meeting and enhancing their social, emotional, and academic development. Counselors provide direct guidance and counseling services helping students develop their abilities to learn, work and live in partnership between home, school and the community. In carrying out these responsibilities, counselors will follow District policy, standard practices, and administrative unit regulations. The school counselor will establish a professional growth plan and annually review progress.
