POSITION SUMMARY:
The Computer Technician
Level 2 performs routine tasks and ensures smooth and
efficient operation of the technology services program
within the school district and sets daily department
priorities based on knowledge of the overall function of
the program and performs work as required or
assigned.
QUALIFICATION - EXPERIENCE -
KNOWLEDGE:

Education and experience
equivalent to high school graduation
·
Working knowledge of
communication systems and networks that are used in the
school district
·
Previous experience in a
computer related field is an asset
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES:
·
Plans, initiates and carries to
completion, computer systems repair activities for district
hardware and software
·
Diagnoses, repairs and maintains
audio visual equipment
·
Monitors and maintains inventory
of all A/V equipment
·
Processes A/V equipment
repairs
·
Prepares in a timely manner
requested equipment for school related programs and
activities
