Program Coordinator for
Special Education

Provides
leadership to team(s) within the Special Education Division
·
Supervises and
Evaluates teachers and paraprofessional staff
·
Works with the
Director of Special Education and other Program Coordinator to
provide leadership to the Special Education Division
·
Teaches one
class
·
Works a 10-month
administrative contract.
Although an administrator and
not a member of the Bargaining Unit, salary will be equivalent to
step/lane placement on negotiated salary schedule; in addition,
an $8,000 stipend will be provided.
·
Ten summer days
at per-diem rate to be worked (contingent upon Special Education
Grant funding being available).
·
Reports to the
Director of Special Education
·
Illinois
secondary certification with LBS I endorsement required
·
Type 75 General
Administrative certification required
·
Successful
completion of Illinois State Board of Education teacher
evaluation training required (may be completed after employment
begins)
·
Ability to
communicate both orally and in writing in Spanish preferred
