Responsibilities:
-Work
with students with identified learning disabilities, determining
programming needs and challenges of students with multiple needs
-Develop, utilize, and implement assessments and Individualized Educational Plans (IEP)
-Write
and develop appropriate curriculum accommodations and modifications in
all academic areas and grade levels individualized to each student
-Write aligned individual assessment results and interpretations, with measurable goals and a program delivery plan
-Effectively manage the learning environment
-Work with other professionals and families in a partnership role
-Work collaboratively with colleagues and community
-Follow State legal requirements and District and building policies and procedures
Qualifications
Required:
-Colorado teaching license with appropriate endorsement as Special Education Generalist or the equivalent or the appropriate endorsement for the student population (or CDE licensure application in process)
-Completed and submitted BVSD on-line application
Preferred:
-Skills and experience in collaboration and co-teaching with classroom teachers and support professionals
-Training or experience in serving English Language Learners (ELL) students
-Technology and software skills and experience–(Infinite Campus and Excent)
