ESP -Instructional

Hours:  5 days/week; 30 hours/week (Monday--Friday)
 
General Purpose of Job:  Assist the classroom teacher in providing support to staff and students which may include facilitating testing program and/or monitoring truancy.

Responsibilities:  

• Assist in general classroom operational procedures such as setting up room, assist in providing reading support to students, recording student reading progress.
• Work directly with students individually or in small groups on academic and motor or social skills, e.g., reading skills, self-esteem building, etc.
• Assist students and teachers in large group activities/projects. Seek out special instructional materials to assist with students having particular assignment problems.
• Perform other duties as assigned by principal or designee.

Qualifications: Highly Qualified status/ At least 2 years of college education. Demonstrate ability to work with students.
