Thank you for your interest in being a substitute teacher for the Mounds View Public Schools.
To be considered a substitute teacher, applicants must possess a current Minnesota Teaching license and attend an orientation session. We do not accept 2 year short call licenses. The rate of pay for a full day is $110 per day and $70 for half a day.
Orientation sessions run from 9:00-10:30am and are held at Snail Lake Education Center, located at 350 Hwy 96 W, Shoreview MN 55126. Each applicant should bring a copy of a current teaching license, $25.00 for the cost of a background check, two forms of ID (drivers license and social security card or birth certificate, also a passport, not expired, will cover all ID's) and a check to be voided for direct deposit.

Applicants must have the ability and skills to relate to students and be sensitive to their needs, to provide a positive behavioral atmosphere for students, to work cooperatively with individuals and teams, the willingness to use technology as part of curriculum and excellent communication skills with students, staff and parents.
