Qualifications/Experience:
MN teaching license in Special Education:
DCD and experience working with
significantly challenging behavior required.
Prefer experience working in a self contained program
with challenging behavior with knowledge of
visual strategies and group and individual instruction and CPI certification
Skills Needed:
Knowledge and experience with special education
due process. Thorough knowledge of
effective teaching and behavior modification working with verbal or non-verbal
learners
Specific Tasks:
Provide individualized and group instruction for
students K-12 with interactive communication needs. Provide direction and supervision to support
staff. Maintain student records and meet
mandated time lines and procedures for special education due process. Assess behavioral management and
instructional needs, plan and implement behavior management processes and
methodologies. See job description.
Hours per day:
7.5 hours per day from 7:45 a.m. - 3:45 p.m. approximately 10/18/12-11/29/12
