Work Schedule: 6.0 hours per day, Monday - Friday (student contact days)
Start Date: September 4, 2012 (plus District Workshop on August 29th)
Salary: As per the Paraprofessional Master Contract Salary Schedule
Job Summary: Special Education Paraprofessional will assist with instructional and behavioral support in the classroom. In addition, they will provide support such as eating, toileting, and mobility. Transferring/lifting of student(s) will be required. Cafeteria supervision may also be required. The ideal candidate for this position will possess strong relationship skills, knowledge/understanding of basic curriculum, the ability to work with a wide range of students with disabilities and will need to be flexible. Experience working in a secondary school environment is also preferred.
