Description: This position will be the main technical contact responsible for aligning the district tech plan to complement the DBSD Strategic Plan. The individual in this role will be expected to champion policies that strengthen the connection between technology and the classroom assisting teachers and staff to make the tool an intregal part of the learning environment. Final approval for all technical initiatives and partnerships will rest with the Technology Director before submission to the Superintendent and Business Manager.

Wages: Administrative Salary Schedule – Depending on experience
Hours: 260 day Administrative Contract
Open/Close Dates: August 8, 2012 - until filled.
Qualifications: Must have extensive knowledge of 1:1 laptop programs - experience a must. Knowledge of network infrastructure required. Experience with E-Rate and Federal Funding structure important. Individual is responsible for writing and maintaining district technology plan, technical professional development and managing technology budget.
Must have verified successful experience working in public education. Must have ability to interact collaboratively with teachers, school and distict administrators, staff and school board in creating, promoting and implementing a vision of technology that merges technology with a research-driven vision of best educational practice.
