PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
The individual selected for this position is
responsible to the Community School Relations Coordinator and
will
Maintain and generate and complete purchase
orders (including contracts) coordinate a Red Ribbon Campaign -
develop program and assist with school arrangements, ordering,
and complete correspondence
coordinate schedule for ATOD Awareness Com.
CCC, and community organization (re: secure location/send
out meeting notices), design , answer KUSD phone line and
provide support to front reception desk when needed, work with
coordinator to develop the annual Leadership Development
training booklet, secure child care for programs
and keep a calendar, organize and assemble
presentations, handouts, and community informational packets,
create and post information for bulletin board monthly, and
submit timesheets. Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Qualifications include but are not limited
to:
High School Diploma or equivalent
required
. Three or more years previous work
experience in an office setting or any equivalent combination
of education and experience which provides the necessary
knowledge, skills and abilities preferred. Considerable
knowledge of office
methods, machines and procedures; ability
to perform varied tasks; ability to prepare detailed and
meaningful reports; strong organizational abilities; thorough
knowledge and demonstrated skills in a window based computer
software environment. Specifically, knowledge of
working with desktop publishing, demonstrated skills with
Microsoft Office
products required. Personality
characteristics and work skills consistent with the demands
of the position; ability to understand and effectively carry
out oral and written instructions; ability to learn assigned
tasks readily and adhere to prescribed procedures; capability
of establishing and maintaining effective public and
professional working
relationships; ability to deal with
teachers, staff, students, parents, and visitors with a tactful
and courteous customer service oriented approach. This
position entails technical work involving a considerable degree
of independent judgment and initiative related to the function
of the communications office.

SALARY RANGE
:
The salary for
this position is $13.91 per hour (2012-2013) per year, 28 hours
per week, Sept. 1 thru June 30
