CHILDCARE ASSISTANT (2 Positions Open)

Midway Elementary

2012-13 School Year

Monday-Friday

3:00-6:00 PM

(1:30-3:00 PM on early dismissal Wednesdays)

$8.00/hr.

Position starts immediately

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Experience working with school age children in a childcare setting.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Assist in providing a safe environment for children in your care.
2. Assist in providing/directing activities designed to enhance the physical, intellectual, social, emotional, and developmental needs of the children in your care.
3. Assist in providing/directing activities that enhance and encourage development of the children's individual interests and talents.
4. Assist in providing a comfortable and relaxed environment where children feel welcome and secure.
5. Assist in preparation of morning and afternoon snack.
6. Supervise assigned children.
7. Follow the child care discipline policy.
8. Attend all required staff meetings.
9. Follow all school district and state childcare licensing guidelines.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:      May be required to lift children on occasion, weighing up to 80 pounds.
