Nature and Scope of Job
The Parent Liaison will work with Title I schools to enhance
parent involvement programs that are research based and meet the
needs of students at each school.
Education, Licenses, Certification or Formal Training:
AA degree or two years of college preferred (48 semester hours
of approved credit).
Or any other combination of related education, experience or
training that enhances the ability to pass the Work Keys
Valid Colorado driver's license, good driving record, and
reliable insured vehicle.
Demonstrate respect for and understanding of students and
families with a positive attitude. Strong human relation skills
including excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of community and available resources. Bilingual skills
preferred. Multicultural awareness. Organizational and record
keeping skills. Ability to manage time and meet obligations with
minimal supervision. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability
to perform all functions of the position.
Essential Job Functions
Provide parents with support to further the academic
achievement of their children.
Support the district research-based plan for parent
Work and collaborate with the administrative team, office
personnel, coordinators and teachers in the implementation of
the District parent involvement plan.
Assist the parent education activities/programs that will be
provided on-site and are based on the individual needs of the
parents at each school.
Coordinate and assist the District Title I Parent Involvement
Facilitator with parent education programs at the school
Develop partnerships with service providers in the Greeley
community and maintain contact with business/support agencies
to develop partnerships for assisting eligible
Develop and maintain relationships with students, families and
