Redding Elementary School is a PK-4 school with an enrollment of 584 students.
Qualifications: The successful candidate should possess a thorough knowledge of current elementary school theory and practices; effective leadership, management, and interpersonal skills; strong written and verbal communications skills; building-level administrative experience; and the ability to plan for allocation of resources based on student learning needs. Experience in a similar high-performing school district is preferred, but not required.
Requirements: Candidates should hold or be eligible for Connecticut Administrator and Supervisor Certification (092). All aspects of school leadership; teacher observation, supervision, and evaluation; participation in school and district leadership programs; implementation of a coherent K-12 standards-based curriculum; common assessments in all content areas; a system of data management and analysis leading to improved learning; support of continuous improvement; valuing and creating a respectful and caring environment.
