Position Description:
To provide assistance in the
daily operation of the school office. Perform
general office procedures efficiently, accurately and in a
confidential manner.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma; knowledge
of computer software, ability to type and word process with
speed and accuracy; ability to establish and maintain files
and record systems; highly organized and able to prioritize
while working under pressure; meet deadlines; and possess the
ability to relate positively to students, parents, staff and
the general public. Knowledge of Power School
preferable.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform established
office procedures effectively, efficiently and
accurately.
2. Process written and
oral instructions effectively.
3. Plan and organize work
according to established office procedures.
4. Compose, transcribe
and process memos, letters, reports, and other documents as
directed.
5. Schedule and arrange
meetings and appointments.
6. Make use of software
programs. (Access, Excel, Word, Publisher, PSIS)
7. Maintain staff
attendance and student accident reports.
8. Register new students
and prepare records of students leaving the district.
9. Process and monitor
pupil residence requests.
10. Compile
monthly report of student enrollment and related data.
11. Assist in
publishing of the monthly parent newsletter.
12. Compile
data for reports.
13. Coordinate
pupil transportation with contracted bus company.
14. Assist
principal with hiring process and paperwork.
15. Maintain a
high level of confidentiality in and out of the
office.
16. Perform
other duties as assigned.
17. Process
substitute timesheets and timecards.
18. Arrange
class coverage when needed.
