VACANCY: The Calumet School District is seeking individuals to fill substitute instructor positions for the 2011-2012 school year.
JOB SUMMARY: The guest teacher is responsible to the Building Principal for planning instructional lessons that meet the needs, interests and abilities of students; creating a classroom environment that is conducive to learning; and employing effective instructional techniques in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s Degree
· Illinois Substitute Certificate,
· Successful K-8 teaching experience preferred
· Demonstrated skill in diagnosing, prescribing, assessing student learning and appropriate record-keeping
WORKING CONDITIONS: On-call 8:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. (Monday-Friday). Salary is $80.00 per day for the first ten days and $100 a day thereafter.
