Description:

To work as part of a team maintaining and implementing all aspects of technology in an educational work environment.

Job Summary:
      1.     Primary responsibility for development and maintenance of PC Images.

2.     Primary responsibility for delivery of PC Windows Updates via WSUS and/or SMS (SCCM).

3.     Primary responsibility for Data Backups.

4.     Management, installation of phones, and troubleshooting of VOIP Phone System.

5.     Maintain updates and troubleshoot Windsor Financial System.

6.     Maintain updates and troubleshoot Celeritime System and timeclocks.

7.     Primary responsibility for researching new workstation/laptop specifications.

8.     Writing, reviewing, and providing supporting information for  technology RFP’s and grant writing.

9.     Monitor email, helpdesk, and network alerts (Solarwinds) for items needing immediate attention.

10.  Maintains physical network – i.e. termination of network cables and mdf room wiring, maintain wiring maps.

11.  Moves and changes for network ID’s, email configuration, and user data relocation.

12.  Assists the Network Support Specialist and Level 1 Network Technician in:

a.     Providing network and end user maintenance support, troubleshooting and archiving.

b.     Providing support for E-Mail and Internet web service.

c.     Maintaining LAN/WAN wireless infrastructure, routers and Internet connection to Internet Service Provider.

d.     Providing Firewall and content filtering services.

e.     Providing virus protection for all workstations, file servers and E-mail/WEB.

f.      Supporting data integrity and backups/restores of SIRS Student Database, Destiny Library System.

g.     Windows Server and VMWare Critical Updates and Security Updates – these usually must occur off hours.

13.  Assists the Director of Technology and the Director of Assessment.

a.     Maintaining and managing data of SIRS Student Database, Lexia Student Database, Healthstar Student Database, Rosetta Student Database, Biomeasure Student Database, etc.

b.     Maintains and manages assessment tracking database.

c.     Maintain and trouble shoot handhelds and software used for the purpose of data collection.

d.     Oversees the purchase, inventory, installation and upkeep of handhelds.

e.     Assist with researching specifications for new initiatives and grants requiring technology (hardware, software, networking, and cost analysis).

f.      Answering SIRS and SIS questions and resolving issues.  This includes documentation of issues and communication of them to SIRS as well as developing USER Defined Reports.

g.     Support of End Users of Teacher Logic.

h.     Moves/adds/changes of website staff id’s and staff website pages.

14.  Performs such other duties and assumes such other responsibilities as may be assigned including supporting the Level 1 Technician, Network Support Specialist, and Director of Technology.


Qualifications:
  1. MCSE/Systems Administrator with a minimum of five or more years of experience in a  Windows environment including Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7, Windows 2003, and Windows 2008.
  2. The Systems Administrator must have an advanced knowledge of VMWare as well.
  3. Desired candidates should have moderate to advanced experience with Cisco and/or Procurve routers/switches, Microsoft SQL, Microsoft Visual Studio, and MS Access.
