College/career/personal/social counseling
Advisement with students/parents individually, in small/large groups on all aspects of educational planning, and development/implementation of programs to meet needs of students and parents
Collection and reporting of data

Job Summary:
Provides school counseling services to help students increase personal growth, self-understanding, and levels of maturity.
Assists students in evaluating their aptitudes/abilities by interpreting individual standardized test scores and other relevant data to direct the development of education plans.
Works collaboratively as a member of the Response to Intervention Data Team to address student needs.
Assists students with course selection and the scheduling of classes in order to meet the School District's graduation requirements and students' post-secondary goals.
Carries out other duties as assigned by the principal.
Qualifications:
Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in school counseling
Type 73 Certification or equivalent
Classroom experience preferred but not required
Prior guidance experience at the high school level preferred
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
