  The Chicago Tech Academy (ChiTech) is looking for an experienced, team-oriented Technology Coordinator committed to the development of our start-up high school.  ChiTech is a public, contract high school working to inspire, educate and connect the next generation of tech leaders. Our mission is to empower our students to change the world. The role of the Technology Coordinator is to: 
  • Install hardware and software
  • Create and deploy classroom images
  • Place and set up equipment
  • Set up and optimize the user environment
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software functionality and equipment, including, but not limited to, printers, computers, copiers and LAN equipment and provide troubleshooting workshops as needed
  • Monitor and manage computer virus cleanup and prevention
  • Update and maintain servers
  • Develop schedule for conducting needed maintenance
  • Identify and document problems and contact appropriate resources to resolve issues
  • Prepare technical needs analysis
  • Assist with the selection and purchase of equipment and support materials needed to achieve school’s goals and the planning, design and installation of future network expansions as growth demands
  • Collaborate with teachers in implementing technology into the curriculum
  • Create, maintain and oversee integration of technology plan

  • Minimum of 2 years in related field or relevant experience
  • Knowledge of school technology needs and systems
