Description
Hinsdale County RE-1, Accredited with Distinction by the Colorado Department of Education, prides itself on high academic performance, an excellent professional staff and strong community support. Lake City Community School, the only school in Hinsdale County, educates approximately 95 students preschool-12th. The school has been consistently recognized by the state for academic achievement. Our strength lies in a dedicated staff with strong parent support addressing individual student needs in small classes. In addition to high quality academics, LCCS students participate in activities: Knowledge Bowl, National Honor Society, Adventure Program, DC Trips and athletics including cross country, basketball, and track and field. We operate on a 4-day school week, Tuesday-Friday.
