SY 24-25 - Counselor - Floating Long-Term Substitute

Red Clay is currently seeking a FLOATING Long-Term Substitute School Counselor. This position could potentially have various locations to serve.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• This position will support K-5 students
• Assist all students in the areas of academic achievement and social/emotional development.
• Provide pull-out support to Tier II / III students in the area of social/emotional growth.
• Assist and teach students how to manage emotions and apply interpersonal skills.
• Provide short-term counseling and small group counseling to students.
• Refer students for long-term support when appropriate.
• Collaborate with families/teachers/administrators/community for student success.
• Conduct data analysis to identify student issues, needs and challenges within the school.
• Participate in school and district committees and initiatives to provide system support.
• Assist with crisis management.
• Attend district counselor meetings.
• Uphold ASCA ethical and professional standards.
• Be a team player, an excellent communicator, and have a willingness to work strategically with parents of all students.
• Fulfill continuing education requirements.
• Other responsibilities as determined by the school Principal.

Minimum Qualifications:
School Counselor Certification for grades K-5
Current DE teaching license - Elementary (K-5)
