Permanent Substitute English Teacher - 2 Positions - High School - 2nd Semester

The Mt. Lebanon School District is seeking applicants for two (2) Permanent Substitute English Teacher positions at Mt. Lebanon High School during the Second Semester of the 2024-2025 School Year. 

These are full-time, on-site, temporary (substitute) assignments from January 17, 2025, through June 6, 2025, 94 day assignments. 
Subject assignments may include: 9th grade English, 10th grade English, yearbook, and a senior elective.

In order to be eligible to apply, the candidate must hold an active Instructional Certificate from the Pennsylvania Department of Education in English Grades 7-12, or equivalent authorization in the form of a college/university placeholder letter stating completion of a PDE approved teacher preparation program and evidence of passing scores on certification examinations, while certification is pending through PDE.

A permanent substitute assignment is a long term substitute assignment of a full semester or more. This position will be paid a prorated salary, calculated using the degree level daily rate for step 1 salary of the 2024-2025 teacher salary table, with rates starting at $282 per day. The position is also eligible for prorated paid time off in the form of sick and personal days and individual health, dental, and vision insurance coverage.

Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151)
Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check (Act 34)
FBI Federal Criminal History Record (Act 114)
Act 126 Child/Student Abuse Recognition and Reporting
Arrest or Conviction Form (PDE 6004) (Act 24)
School Personnel Health Record (Physical with TB Test)
Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Information (Act 168)
