DAILY SCHEDULE: | 8:30-4:30 pm Monday-Friday |
DAYS PER YEAR: | 170 (9 month position) |
SUMMARY: | Security monitors play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our students and staff. Responsibilities include: |
- monitoring school premises,
- supervising students during arrival, dismissal, passing times, and lunch (as well as traffic directing duties before and after school)
- enforcing school policies,
- and responding to any security incidents or emergencies.
An Associate's Degree or at least two years of post-secondary education (a minimum of 60 semester credits) is required. Experience working with students, working with diverse student populations, and strong communication skills is preferred. Previous experience in security or law enforcement is helpful but not required.
