Description

Position: Supervisory Paraprofessional - Recess
Rate: $21.19 - $22.87 per hour per the 2023-2025 Paraprofessional Agreement
Hours: 2.5 hrs per day, Monday - Friday Student Contact Days
The successful candidate will be able to effectively accomplish the below job duties:
- Active supervision during Indoor/outdoor recess and inside the cafeteria for students K-4.
- Ability to be outside in all types of weather conditions including snow, rain, and sleet.
- Enjoys working with children; able to build relationships and mediate conflict.
- Part of a team of three; able to communicate and collaborate with adults.
- Monitoring student behavior; peer mediation and problem resolution.
- Encourages students to observe considerate and safe behavior.
- Reports all incidents of unacceptable student behavior to the principal.
- Keeping the principal informed of unacceptable student behavior or impending student behavior problems.
- Monitors all assigned areas of responsibility.
- Attending all meetings as assigned by principal.
- Performing work assigned to accomplish the objectives of the total school program.
- Patience, experience with student mediation preferred.
- This position works with a large number of children.
