Mission Statement
Welcome to Garden City Public Schools. Garden City Unified School District #457 has the ninth largest enrollment in the state of Kansas, serving approximately 7,200 students in 18 attendance centers. Our district is the second largest geographically, encompassing a total of 925 square miles. In order to accomplish our mission of “Quality Learning – Responsible Citizens,” Garden City Public Schools offers a strong basic academic program. We also provide opportunities for a broad range of elective course work, as well as a full slate of extracurricular activities and experiences. This provides the students with the greatest opportunities to become well-rounded individuals and successful citizens. USD 457 has enjoyed a long history of strong community support.
